Hello!
Or should it be Hola?
Greetings from Riviera Maya in Mexico. We left Orlando at the weekend to head down south for my first trip to Mexico! The Spanish Duolingo hasn’t helped!
Just a reminder, Too Far Comedy isn’t on this Monday due to an event at the venue. We’ll be back at the Artillery Arms for our new act, new material night on Monday 20 May. See you there!
😂 Far Too Funny List
📺 Watching - There’s a super Comedy Central set on YouTube by Logan Guntzelman: Selling an iPod to Margot Robbie. As a millennial, I really enjoyed her viewpoint and she has some awesome jokes.
🎧 Listening - I’m loving the SmartLess podcast hosted by former Arrested Development stars Jason Bateman and Will Arnett, alongside former Will and Grace star Sean Hayes. The latest episode I’ve listened to is their interview with John Oliver. I really like John’s work and find him so easy to listen to.
📕 Reading - There’s a very interesting article in The Grocer - of all places - called What marketers can learn from stand-up comedy. Jonathan Fraser performed stand-up comedy for 10 years to improve his skills in advertising. He gives four lessons to help brands outsmart their competition and not outspend. They are really useful for comedians to think about and remember too.
