Hello!
It was so great to be back at the Artillery Arms for Too Far Comedy this past Monday.
I’d missed it!
But we have to wait two weeks for another show due to the Bank Holiday Monday. We’ll be back with a fantastic line up on June 3. Free entry with doors opening at 7.15pm. See you there!
😂 Far Too Funny List
📺 Watching - I hope Tom Brady got paid a lot of money because he suffered a brutal night on The Roast of Tom Brady on Netflix. Kevin Hart was a fantastic host and comedians Nikki Glaser and Tony Hinchcliffe in particular crushed it! If easily offended you might want to avoid this.
🎧 Listening - I mentioned last week how I laughed out loud watching a Jim Jefferies special so I went on a bit of a rabbit hole and ended up listening to his interview with Tim Ferriss. For those of you who don’t know, Tim dissects what high-performers do differently from the rest of us. Jefferies was very entertaining in this podcast but I don’t think it’s the best Ferriss has done as it went on a couple of tangents.
📕 Reading - “Stand-up comedy grosses have nearly tripled over the last decade, climbing to more than $900 million last year.”
That’s an amazing fact in this Bloomberg article and why even when we have bad gigs it might just be worth sticking at this comedy lark…
