Hello!
Hope you are having a great week.
It was a packed house at the Artillery Arms on Monday night for Too Far Comedy. Thanks to Kristian Allman for MCing. Stacey Edwards is back this Monday as your host with a sensational running order of comedians. Don’t miss it. Doors open from 7.15pm.
Thanks to everyone who applied to perform with us in July and August. We are now fully booked. Apologies if you didn’t get a spot this time around.
😂 Far Too Funny List
📺 Watching - 800 Pound Gorilla have Sean McLoughlin | So Be It on their YouTube channel. A very funny special by a comedian who has spent 15 years honing his craft. It’s a superb routine with some excellent observations, I particularly like the one about people on Instagram. You also won’t believe what you can buy in the UK these days!
🎧 Listening - Harriet Kemsley was brilliant in the Amazon show Last One Laughing and this week I really enjoyed listening to her on Russell Howard’s Five Brilliant Things (rebranded from Wonderbox last year). There’s one item in Harriet’s list that will be very close to the heart of many comedians. It’s also really interesting to hear how Harriet got started in stand-up.
📕 Reading - Whenever I perform a pun on stage, more often than not, I get a groan. But does clever wordplay deserve more spotlight? That’s the question the British Comedy Guide ask in the article Ain’t No Punshine. I do think the name of the Fish Shop in Hertford opposite a church is certainly memorable!
🎤 Where you can see me perform
You can’t for now. I’m taking a little break to work out how to be a Dad. But go check out Too Far Comedy on the following dates!
Too Far Comedy - Monday 30 June | 7.15pm doors
If you want to book me for one of your comedy nights for later this year please email me.
That’s it for now. Hope to see you soon!
