Hello!
Packed house this week at Too Far Comedy.
We’ll be back for more laughs at the Artillery Arms on Monday. Doors open at 7.15pm. See you there!
Thanks to everyone who applied to perform with us in November. All spots have now been taken.
Apologies if you missed out this time. The form for December will be in this newsletter in a few weeks.
😂 Far Too Funny List
📺 Watching - Australian comedian Nathan Chin has put together a fantastic YouTube video called How Anthony Jeselnik misdirects the audience.
🎧 Listening - The Instagram algorithm chucked a clip my way of Russell Kane talking about how he booked his first gig. And that put me on to his full interview on the Fist of Firsts with Tim Reid podcast. It’s an excellent conversation. Kane talks about his relentless work ethic and breaks down the creativity techniques he uses to conjure material. He also explains how he structures his award-winning Edinburgh shows.
📕 Reading - On the Connected Comedy website, there’s a lovely collection of 21 Handwritten Tips For Comedians From Comedians. There are some great pieces of advice. I like Lamont Ferguson’s tip. What’s your favourite?
