Hello!
Hope you all had a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend. Got to admit it was really strange not having Too Far Comedy.
But we will be back this coming Monday. And it will be my last as MC for a couple of months. It would be great to see as many familiar faces at the show as possible, so if you are free please do come along.
Don’t worry Too Far Comedy will still continue in my absence. We’ve got some fantastic guest MCs lined up for May and June. Details to come in future editions of this newsletter.
😂 Far Too Funny List
📺 Watching - Freestyle Rapper is actually HILARIOUS | Chris Turner's Freestyle Raps on YouTube is a brilliant video of the U.S. based British comedian taking audience suggestions at the Comedy Cellar and turning them into a very funny rap.
🎧 Listening - There’s a brilliant interview with Jordan Brookes on the Always Be Comedy podcast. Brookes is a former Edinburgh Comedy Award winner and he gives his dream stand-up comedy show from opener to headliner. Referred to in this podcast often as the comedian’s comedian, it was fascinating to hear how he thinks other comedians should behave at a show.
📕 Reading - The No Film School website has an article called What Stand-Up Comedy Can Teach You About Storytelling. I like how Jason Hellerman breaks down what comedians do on stage and compares it to someone making a creative sales pitch.
