Hello!
There was a superb atmosphere at the Artillery Arms this past Monday to celebrate the 2nd Birthday of Too Far Comedy!
Thanks to all the acts who performed and everyone who came along.
Year 3 kicks off this Monday. Doors open from 7.15pm. Free entry.
Just a heads up, the application form for spots to perform with us in March and April will come out in next week’s newsletter. We were inundated last time so don’t miss out. 80% of the spots will be allocated to those who apply within the first 24 hours.
😂 Far Too Funny List
📺 Watching - Nathan Macintosh’s special Down with Tech on YouTube is hilarious. I was laughing out loud throughout the whole show. I really enjoy his energy, his jokes and his act outs. There’s so many good lines. I highly recommend you give this a watch whether you’re a Jock or a Tech Nerd!
🎧 Listening - There’s a fun and fascinating conversation with Jerry Seinfeld on the Breaking Bread with Tom Papa podcast. There’s so many interesting nuggets on the art of Stand-Up Comedy and the difficulties a professional faces on the road. Jerry also addresses a few controversial comments he’s made in recent interviews.
📕 Reading - I have just devoured Stephen Pressfield’s short book Nobody Wants to Read Your Sh*t: And Other Tough-Love Truths to Make You a Better Writer. Pressfield has written movies along with fiction and non-fiction books. While it doesn’t address stand-up comedy directly, there is a lot of useful information for all artists and anyone involved in storytelling.

“Far Too Funny List” is a collation of content that Richard Parr finds hilarious or valuable as a comedian. Richard is the MC of Too Far Comedy. It’s a new act, new material night at The Artillery Arms in Old Street, London starting at 7.30pm.
