Hello!
Hope you’ve been having a great week!
I have, I saw Michael Che from Saturday Night Live perform on Tuesday. He was did a set at Up The Creek in Greenwich. He made stand-up look so effortless. Very enjoyable and inspiring.
Even with the Edinburgh Festival starting soon, Too Far Comedy will keep rocking and rolling in August. Come and support live comedy!
So we’re back at the Artillery Arms on Monday. Doors open at 7.15pm. Free Entry.
😂 Far Too Funny List
📺 Watching - I Hired 100 People To Laugh At My Bad Jokes. No not me. Niko Omilana from the YouTube channel NDL. Not saying I wouldn’t if I could… Many of you London open mic-ers will recognise the venue and the promoter in the clip. Let me know in the comments if you do!
🎧 Listening - I listened to The Last Laugh podcast with Matt Wilstein for the first time. Their 250th episode featured comedian and musician Reggie Watts. I liked hearing how he leaned into his performance even when people threw things at him!
📕 Reading - Matt Friend is a hilarious impressionist and comedian I’ve been following on Social Media for about a year. He recently performed at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. He’s written an excellent article called How Soon After Tragedy Am I Allowed to Make a Joke? In the piece, Matt discusses the difficulty of not knowing where the line is in comedy.
