Hello!
We had a rambunctious time at Too Far Comedy this week!
We’ll be back with another fantastic line-up of comedians this Monday at the Artillery Arms. Doors open at 7.15pm.
It’s a quick newsletter this week. So here’s the list!
😂 Far Too Funny List
📺 Watching - Within a year, Josh Johnson wrote, recorded and uploaded over 10 hours of stand-up material to his YouTube channel. Joke WRLD interviewed the new Daily Show correspondent to find out he does it in the video: Why Josh Johnson is YouTube's Favorite Comedian.
🎧 Listening - I listened to the How To Produce Live Comedy podcast. It’s a few years old and aimed more at the U.S. comedy circuit. Still, there were some useful tidbits of information in the episode Monetizing Shows with Lucas Connolly and Jenni Walkowiak.
📕 Reading - As I’ve sat down to write some topical jokes this week I’ve gone back to the fantastic book Comedy Writing for Late-Night TV by Joe Toplyn. Using his Punch Line Makers, Joe explains how to write monologue jokes. I highly recommend it.
🎬 New Video
I told Jokes in a Pub for 1 Year is proving to be the most popular video on my Youtube channel. Please watch it and SUBSCRIBE!
