Hello!
I hope you have been surviving this London heatwave!
If you need to cool down I know this place which has some terrific air conditioning. Check out the Artillery Arms in Old Street, especially on a Monday from 7.15pm. Not only do you get a cool breeze but you get some of the best up and coming comedians on the London open mic circuit!
Thanks to Tom Dell for hosting a brilliant night of Too Far Comedy this week. Kristian Allman will be your MC this Monday. Come and join him and a blockbuster line up of comedians.
Thanks to everyone who applied to perform with us in July and August. We have less than a handful of spots left. Apply here if you want to try and grab them. Apologies if you miss out!
😂 Far Too Funny List
📺 Watching - After 27 years on the circuit, Jeff Innocent - Smart Casual is the comedy legend’s first ever stand-up special. This show on YouTube was filmed just around the corner from where he grew up in East London. A funny way to spend an hour.
🎧 Listening - I really enjoyed listening to the 2017 special Michelle Wolf: Nice Lady on Apple Music (Spotify here). Full of terrific jokes that pack a punch!
📕 Reading - “I’ve sat down and memorised tens of thousands of words that rhyme.” MC Hammersmith shares his secrets with The Comedy Discussion with Dan Cushnie. In the article TikTok's Middle Class Rap God on his Breakout Success, Will Naameh explains what is going through his mind when he’s performing on stage. It really makes me want to see his show this summer at Edinburgh!
