Hello!
I’m still in beautiful Cape Cod in the United States.
Thanks to Tom Dell for steadying the good ship Too Far Comedy this week. Stacey Edwards will be your MC this coming Monday.
Doors open from 7.15pm at the Artillery Arms.
While I’m away, I’m sharing your favourite Far Too Funny recommendations from this year. This week it’s the stuff to listen to, enjoy!
😂 Far Too Funny List
🎧 Listening - There’s a brilliant interview with Jordan Brookes on the Always Be Comedy podcast. Brookes is a former Edinburgh Comedy Award winner and he gives his dream stand-up comedy show from opener to headliner. Referred to in this podcast often as the comedian’s comedian, it was fascinating to hear how he thinks other comedians should behave at a show.
🎧 Listening - “Your stories should be examples of your points,” was just one of the many really interesting things Rhys James says on the craft of writing comedy on the Some Laugh podcast. Scottish comedians Marc Jennings, Stephen Buchanan and Stuart McPherson host this podcast and this was the first time I have listened to it and thought it was excellent.
🎧 Listening - I stumbled upon the A Rich Comic Life podcast and listened to the episode with Logan Murray. Murray, a comedian and highly-respected comedy teacher, has been performing for nearly four decades, so it was fascinating to hear about his journey.
