Hello!
We had fun this week at Too Far Comedy. We’re back on Monday from 7.15pm at the Artillery Arms before we take a little Bank Holiday break.
Your chance to perform with us in May and June is coming up in this newsletter. But first the list!
😂 Far Too Funny List
📺 Watching - Last One Laughing. 10 Comedians. One Rule. Do not laugh. I feel like this has been advertised everywhere! I wasn’t planning on watching it until one former colleague on Facebook posted how much he loved it. The power of the recommendation eh! So I gave it a watch and absolutely smashed it. Very funny stuff indeed. Joe Wilkinson and Lou Sanders in particular had me laughing out loud. Bob Mortimer and Richard Ayoade were brilliant too.
🎧 Listening - Mitch Hedberg’s 1999 special Strategic Grill Locations is one of John Mulaney’s top four albums of all time. My one-liner’s are often met with a groan so it was great to hear someone at the top of their game, nailing it every time.
📕 Reading - 'I do stand-up about unfunny things.' That’s the title of Nish Kumar’s interview with Chortle discussing his new tour: Nish, Don’t Kill My Vibe. It’s interesting to hear him talk about his decision to talk about things that “scare him” rather than “what’s in the fridge.” FYI I’ve got a punnet of plums.
