Hello!
Thank you for all of the lovely messages following the birth of my son. I really appreciate it.
It certainly was weird playing Daddy Day Care on Monday while Too Far Comedy was back in action. I was delighted to hear that Kristian Allman smashed it hosting the show and there was a great vibe!
The hilarious Toni Divic steps up next to MC this Monday. Come and join him at the Artillery Arms from 7.15pm!
😂 Far Too Funny List
📺 Watching - There’s a brilliant video of Jimmy Carr on Liverpool Winning the League on YouTube. For those of you that don’t like football, don’t worry it’s not about it. It’s actually a Q&A session from one of his gigs and I’ve got to say some of his responses are hysterical! Some are also just informational, but at least I now know where to eat when I’m next in Paris…
🎧 Listening - I’m really into storytelling comedians at the moment, and on my way to registering the birth of my son, I absolutely loved listening to Nish Kumar: Your Power, Your Control on Apple Music (Spotify). The political comedian weaves a whole show around one of his worst gigs - when someone threw a bread roll at him at a charity event. Lots of really funny moments. Give this a listen!
📕 Reading - It was really cool to read in the BBC that Vyome Singh - who has performed at our night in the last few months - won the Reading New Comedian of the Year award. Congrats Vyome! Read: Comedian embraces 'failure' after scooping award.
