Hello!
It was brilliant to be back at the Artillery Arms this past Monday for our first Too Far Comedy of 2025!
It was a packed line-up and we can’t wait for more hilarity next week.
Come and join us. Doors open at 7.15pm. Free entry.
The application form to perform with us in February is coming up in this newsletter.
But first the list!
😂 Far Too Funny List
📺 Watching - I really enjoyed Nikki Glaser’s Opening Monologue at the Golden Globes this past weekend. I think she got the perfect tone of roasting the Hollywood A-listers without crossing the line. I like how she was also self-deprecating before she began her assault on the celebrity audience. I enjoyed Adam Sandler getting involved too.
🎧 Listening - I’ve spent most of the last few weeks listening again to the Smartless podcast. I just love the banter and camaraderie between Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes. I nearly fell off the treadmill the other day listening to their chat with Martin Short and Steve Martin. They understood what the podcast is about and dived in with lots of quips. Loved it.
📕 Reading - This Christmas, Santa Claus bought me the book: The Elsie Drake Letters (aged 104) by Robert Popper. It’s such a silly book and premise, and got me laughing out loud on many occasions. With a new computer, Elsie, aged 104, fires off letters to everyone from the Mayor of London to Greggs. The responses range from the sweet to the hilarious.
